Fresh approach to weight loss

Weight loss-Ideas and Tips from a Fresh Approach

By Raquel Reyna from Divine Nutrition

The psychology of eating and weight loss ideas by Divine Nutrition is designed for anyone who eats.

We all have a relationship with food. This relationship changes overtime but is with us throughout our lives. Culturally it is time for us to re-evaluate this relationship. With things like diabetes, obesity, heart disease, binge eating, fast food, and over eating increasing in epidemic proportion asking the question…do we as Americans have a healthy relationship with food…is a valid and transformational investigation.

There is not one program in this country that deals with the psychology of eating unless you are anorexic or bulimic or suffer from severe eating disorders. But the real truth is that we all eat, and most of us think that we would rather be thinner, healthier, or in better shape to some degree. And 150 million people a day across America go on a diet. Only 3% will keep the weight off and this has not changed in 20 years! So we all can grow from becoming sane around our relationship with food!

The study of the average American and their psyche around food…is an enlightening one. So let’s begin with a fresh approach to weight loss.

My focus at Divine Nutrition is developing a healthy psyche around our diet, our self-image, and our relationship with our body.

To begin this investigation we must ask ourselves questions like: do I feel good after I eat, am I happy with my body, do I have cravings that control my day, do I binge at night, do I have indigestion?

These are just a few of the inner investigations needed to discover if we are in a healthy rapport with our bellies.

Feeling bloated after a meal, or constantly wanting to lose that extra 15lbs, or yo yo dieting are not necessarily issues with food or diet or nutrition at all. I am suggesting that all of these symptoms are a calling out from your body to inform you that a deeper relationship with self is needed: that some type of transformation about how you are ingesting life needs to be evaluated.

How to transform your relationship with food, lose weight, and create healthy habits with food begins by stepping out onto the journey of life.

There is not simple answer and as much as I would like to sell one…there is no magic pill or ten step cure. There is a lot of pain and suffering in this relationship with nourishing ourselves and healing our bodies for lasting change is the only answer. There is no need to get rid of or cut off or starve yourself as you go through this process. Perhaps your body is suggesting you move into deeper relationship with it, dive into a process of transformation, and become the vehicle of vital health that is your natural state. So let’s begin with 6 simple steps to Real Weight loss:

1. Learn to love your body. No matter what. If you eat something that made you feel bloated or sick do not go into self-sabotage…forgive yourself right away. We are all human and there is no need to attack or wrong yourself for what you enjoyed or what you ate too much of.

2. Ask yourself deeper questions about what else in your life feels stuck? Are you unhappy at work, in a relationship, with a friend, where do you feel transformation is needed?

3. Are you depriving yourself of basic nourishment due to false ideas about food? Such as to loose weight I must eat close to nothing-Or to loose fat I must eliminate fat in my diet? Both of these things are completely false. Filling yourself up with high dense nutrient rich foods is important to decrease cravings and binging behavior. Fat free foods are false advertising and toxic rich processed foods. Feel free to eat healthy fats like coconut oil, avocados, nuts, omega 3’s.

4. Slow down. Are you eating on the run, stressed out or not carving out time to eat? Your body can not properly digest a meal if you are eating under duress.

5. Listen to your body. Everyday stop do nothing and listen. Is your body telling you information about what it really wants can you nourish it in other ways like a bath, a walk, a meditation before food? Take 10 minutes a day to listen to the needs of your body. Perhaps you need more exercise, less exercise, nature, organic foods, deep stretches, less sugar, more mineralization. Listen to your body everyday.

6. Buy high quality foods. This is the greatest insurance investment there is. Spend the extra money on high-vibe nutrient dense foods. Research the highest quality in food, supplementation, superfoods, and mineral dense ways to eat. Don’t skimp on quality. You will pay triple at the doctor for poor health, medications, mood-assistant drugs, or health bills. Invest in the highest quality food first and save later.

Sometimes our life’s and our bodies need deeper nourishment and food is not doing its job because we are not doing our jobs-in other words we are not taking the time to deepen, change, or transform areas in our life that need attention.

I am saying that most people’s issues around food are issues around life. How you eat is symbolic to how you are nourishing yourself or not nourishing yourself.

Take the time today to give yourself permission to be healthy!

Weight loss from a fresh approach would mean to begin to evaluate from a more genuine prospective your relationship with yourself, your life, your nourishment, your self-care, your attention to the moment.

Reach for your divine health. Your most delicious, healthy, vital, and wondrous bodacious bod awaits you as your realize NOW that divine health is your natural state.

Procrastinating the Raw Food Kitchen

Procrastinating the Raw Food Kitchen...

OK well it is time for me to build my raw kitchen and can you say...procrastination. Well procrastinating is a wonderful way to get things done like: cleaning the closets, buying new clothes, catching up with old friends in long phone conversations. However, the time has it and I am signing up for my first raw cooking class in 10 days! bravo for me!

According to the Raw Diva's the blender to get is the Blendtec blender...which I am going to have to update you on. I am researching the supplies and what I need.

Step one: Procrastinate
Step two: Get some research done on products
Step three: Tell you more tomorrow...

Creating a raw food kitchen

Starting my own raw food kitchen experiment:

After a year of dabbling, experimenting, and spending way too much money on Wholefood's raw food section, I have decided to start my own raw kitchen.

I am not an expert by any standards and I pride myself on:
1. Not being 100% raw
2. Going to friend's houses to eat and allowing myself to enjoy their cooking
3. Not viewing those other non-raw foods as the enemy
4. loving food in general
5. Trusting whatever I am craving is good for me in the moment
6. Still drinking margaritas and mexican food...on occassion...yum!

So basically I am a liberal raw foodist who agrees for the most part I feel better the more raw I am. I am not going to compete or lay down to those 15 year raw foodies...I am going to celebrate all food. No bias.

However, the truth is I like cooking raw. I guess that is an oxymoron...so I love blending, chopping and creating raw dishes. So I am going to begin the transformation of my kitchen from once where cooked foods and ovens reigned supreme to a new unleached dehydrated blending kitchen...one day-one appliance-one receipe-one class- at a time.

My goal here is to update this blog as I go.

Each addition to my kitchen will be talked about here for those interested in trying it too!
Its about feeling good, having fun, and becoming as much raw as you like and that fits into your lifestyle comfortably.
So lets get choppin!

more love raw chocolate

I love chocolate and I drink it every day! I make loads of it and I love it!

Try it too- you might like it!

Raw Cacao- a love story!

Oh my god do I love raw cacao.

I am having a secret love affair. It satisfys me on so many levels.
Cacao is still relatively new to the raw food scene and a very welcome addition it is too! It is spreading quickly however and the range of cacao bars, powders, and mixes are growing...thank god. Of course, I think with the discovery of David Favors chocolate bliss i have my finger on the pulse of the best raw cacao mixes on the planet. So, If carob hasn’t quite hit the choc-spot for you, then cacao, or its brother raw cacao powder (raw chocolate powder) very likely will – especially considering that cacao is exactly the same ingrediant that all chocolate bars are made from sinsa the milk, cream, dairy, and other additives.

And while there may be a lot of people in the raw food world thinking/ feeling that raw cacao is just as addictive as the cooked stuff (they may be right.. I have my own suspicions!), for those that want to find a great way to satisfy the chocoholic in them, then this is where it's at - minus the milk, sugar and all the other nasties that most believe is chocolate...

With the right sources you will be minus the caffeine as well!

What is Cacao?

Cacao, also known as “cacao pod”, is the fruit of the cacao tree, a small and handsome evergreen tree growing in South America and the West Indies which grows 12 to 25 feet high (less than 25 feet if being cultivated). In 1753 it was named Theobroma meaning “food of the gods” by Carl von Linnaeus, the 18th-century Swedish scientist who developed the plant and animal Latin categorization system.

Cacao Facts

The cacao tree bears its leaves, flowers and fruit (cacao pods) all the year round.
The cacao pods are usually egg or melon-shaped, measuring 5 to 12 inches long and 3 to 5 inches wide.
The pods start off as golden-red to purple in colour, turning brown at maturity.
The beans rattle inside the pod when shaken also showing that the fruit is ripe.
Each pod generally produces 20 to 40 almond-shaped cacao beans. They are about 1 inch long, reddish-brown on the outside, dark-brown on the inside, and imbedded in a whitish, sweetish, buttery pulp. Rather interestingly, if they are separated from the pod they soon become infertile, but if kept inside they retain their fertility for a long time.
From fertilization to harvesting the fruit requires 5–6 months. Harvest season lasts about 5 months.
Preparation

Once ripe, the pods are cut from the tree, cut open and allowed to mellow on the ground. The beans are allowed to ferment so that they may be more easily separated from the shell. After fermentation the beans are dried in the sun (or sometimes in a steam drying shed) at which time they change from purple to brown. Beans are then bagged and shipped. Further processing includes roasting, crushing, and separating out the kernel, grinding the nibs and extraction of about half of the fat.

Uses

Cocoa is prepared by grinding the beans into a paste between hot rollers and mixing it with sugar and starch, with some of the fat being removed.
Chocolate is prepared in much the same way, but the fat is retained.
Raw cacao is sold as whole beans or as “nibs” which are effectively cacao beans broken down into smaller pieces and with the skin removed. It tastes slightly sweet yet also slightly bitter and is delicious on its own or used in recipes, although some may find the taste overpowering initially if eaten alone.
Nutritional Properties

Raw Cacao Nutritional Facts:
Serving Size: 1 ounce (= ¼ cup or 28g)
Calories 160, Fat 11g (of which Saturated Fat 4g), Sodium 30 mg, Carbohydrate 14g, Fibre 9g, Sugars 3g, Protein 1g, Vitamin C 42mg

Magnesium
Cacao is remarkably rich in magnesium and seems to be the number one source of magnesium of any food. This may very well explain why women crave chocolate before or during their menstrual period. Magnesium balances brain chemistry, builds strong bones, and is associated with creating more happiness. Magnesium is the most deficient major mineral on the Standard American Diet (SAD) - over 80% of Americans are chronically deficient in magnesium.

Stimulant or Superfood?
Cacao contains subtle amounts of caffeine and theobromine. However, experiments have shown that these stimulants are far different when consumed raw than cooked.

They have found that all of the caffeine is contained in the shell of the cacao bean. If the bean is de-shelled as it is in chocolate bliss you are minus the caffeine and plus all the bennefits. Yipee, hurray, and bravo for us-especially us girls late at night right before that time of month!

MAO Inhibitors
Cacao seems to diminish appetite, probably due to its monoamine oxidase enzyme inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) - these are different from digestive enzyme inhibitors found in most nuts and seeds. These rare MAO inhibitors actually produce favourable results when consumed by allowing more serotonin and other neurotransmitters to circulate in the brain. According to Dr. Gabriel Cousens, MAO inhibitors facilitate youthening and rejuvenation.

Phenylethylamine (PEA)
Phenylethylamine (PEA) is found in chocolate. PEA is an adrenal-related chemical that is also created within the brain and released when we are in love. This is one of the reasons why love and chocolate have a deep correlation. PEA also plays a role in increasing focus and alertness.

Anandamide (“The Bliss Chemical”)
A neurotransmitter called anandamide, has been isolated in cacao. Anandamide is also produced naturally in the brain. Anandamide is known as "The Bliss Chemical" because it is released while we are feeling good. Cacao contains enzyme inhibitors that decrease our body’s ability to breakdown anandamide. This means that natural anandamide and/or cacao anandamide may stick around longer, making us feel good longer when we eat cacao.

How to Eat Cacao

Good news for health seekers who are trying to avouch commercial chocolate and the like - cacao is a versatile food and can be used in many delicious ways!

Try eating them straight, a teaspoon at a time. Chew thoroughly and experience the taste extravaganza of raw chocolate.
Add to nut-based smoothies or nut milks to make chocolate shakes and flavoured milks.
Add agave nectar or honey to the raw cacao nibs and chew.
Freeze cacao nibs with sweeteners (agave nectar or honey are fantastic). Eat cold.
Blend cacao nibs into herbal teas with the Peruvian superfood maca.
Add cacao nibs to raw ice-creams for the best chocolate chips in the world.
Chop up a banana, add some but butter and top with cacao nibs for a delicious snack, supper or dessert.
Create a raw chocolate bar! Pour into a mould and freeze. Eat cold and experience the truth

The best is to make a blender full with lots of other superfoods mix with water, berries, activated nuts and agave...yummy!

Holistic Health

Holism as a health concept has long existed outside of academic circles, but only relatively recently has the modern medical establishment begun to integrate it into the mainstream health care system. In the United States, the first National Conference on Holistic Health was conducted by the Health Optimizing Institute and The Mandala Society with the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in June 1975. This continued there for ten years with about three thousand health professionals participating each year. After the second year it was not under the Medical School.

The recording of these Conferences that was the emerging of Holistic Health in American is in the nine volumes of The Journal Of Holistic Health provided by the Mandala Society. Over 150 authorities in aspects of Holistic Health participated and are recorded in the Journals.

The Mandala Society Conferences and work supported the creation of the Association For Holistic Health in 1976, the Holistic Medical Association in 1978 and The American Holistic Nurses Association,1979.

Many regional Holistic Health Associations followed with the American Holistic Health Association being established in 1989.

Historically, Holistic health has not been widely practiced in North America. According to Robbie Davis-Floyd in “Medical Anthropology- Modern Midwives, Issue 20”, she states that there are “links between tradition, ancestry, home remedies, the earth and the biomedical systems”.

[edit] Philosophy
Holistic health is not itself a method of treatment, but is an approach to how treatment should be applied. Holistic concepts of health and fitness view achieving and maintaining good health as requiring more than just taking care of the various singular components that make up the physical body, additionally incorporating aspects such as emotional and spiritual well-being. The goal is a wellness that encompasses the entire person, rather than just the lack of physical pain or disease. This means that not feeling sick, does not necessarily mean you are well, just that you are between Well and Sick. When symptoms develop, it is often long after the cause of the symptoms occurred. It is often used in contrast to the medical model that focuses on treating symptoms and syndromes without attempting to address functioning beyond the absence of disease, the Holistic approach focuses on the cause.

The holistic process offers individuals the opportunity to be the creators of their own reality of health, through an understanding of all levels of health and a balanced lifestyle.

[edit] Treatment of patients
Holistic Health is now moving more into the medical mainstream as seen in the work of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Veterans Medical Centers provide a comprehensive patient manual Healthwise for life, VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network, Fourth Edition 2000

This comprehensive 450-page VA Medical Self Care manual has a section on Mind-Body Wellness and a section on Complementary Medicine, including sections on: Acupuncture, High-Dose Vitamin and Mineral Therapy, Homeopathy, Magnetic Field Therapy, Herbal Medicine, Naturopathy, Tai Chi, Qui Gong, Yoga and Chiropractic Treatment.

In the Complementary Medicine section under the heading Benefits the manual states: “Holistic Approach: When you see your conventional provider, your visit generally lasts 10 to 15 minutes. People who provide alternative treatments often take one hour or more to find out all about you. Many health problems, especially chronic diseases, are more likely to respond to treatment when the whole person is taken into consideration.”

This section also gives advice about how to avoid health fraud and quackery.

Under the heading “Healing”: The VA manual mentions Spiritual Healing and Therapeutic Touch stating: “Nurses may use therapeutic touch in conventional medical settings to help heal and comfort their patients.”

The American Holistic Nurses Association is playing a significant role in moving Holistic Health into the mainstream for responsible health care.

Holistic Health Care is simply about responsible health care. Responsible health care is working fully with the whole persons Spirit, Mind and Body.

“Dimensions of Holistic healing- New frontiers in the treatment of the whole person”, the authors define Holistic health as “treating the whole person, helping the person to bring the mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual dimensions of his or her being into greater harmony, using the basic principles and elements of holistic healing and, as much as possible, placing reliance on treatment modalities that foster the self regenerative and self reparatory processes of natural healing,”

modern woman

Women’s lib
Liberating today’s
Women

The lady of the new millennium!
Set me free!

Well ladies we have come a long way

We have.

And we have a ways to go.

Not just women but all people need to be set free
I just happen to see where we as women are still repressed.
Perhaps we are not just in the home
Perhaps we are making more money than ever before
Having more choices
Having the freedom to have children not have children be married not be married.

So where are we still caged in
Why are we still the leaders in such disease as
Anerexia bullemia
Trapped by the obsession of looking good
Being the model of femininity as defined by our commercial industry
Wondering how can we break free?
And why is this important?

If you have ever been 38 and not married and not with children you begin to see the desperation in yourself in the eyes of others as they see you not fulfilling the role of being a women.

We have a “shelf-life”, I’ll have you know.

What worth do you have when you don’t have this? Or when the looks begin to fail and you move from the leading lady seductress to the silent supporting role. The importance and perversity around looks, and body image still prevails, still controls, still manipulates, still pressures us to contort our bodies and our minds to fit in.

The intensity with which this still holds true can be seen purely and simply in the numbers.
The number of women who die from eating disorders

I never wanted children myself but the strangest thing began to happen as I turned 37. The intensity around wanting children started to set in like a dull humm
A preasure a power
A force
That took over.

I watched my friends many of whom did all sorts of crazy things to get married and have children. All kinds of hormones, seragots, fast marriages, adoption papers, but the thing I noticed the most was a sense of relief and pride in the women who had the man and the child and a desperation in the women who did not. There is a sense of desperation around satisfying, becoming, proving, or living a role still today undefined.
More undefined now than ever before so the pain is much greater. I need I want to be something...but I am just not sure what it is.
I need to be fulfill become something other than what I am.
People around they have no problem hinting or suggesting that yes, it is true-you are unmarried and over 40 with no kids...well too bad for you honey...life is over. And that my feminine friend is a load of crocka!! We women need no excuse to live full and free and alive exactly as we are...where ever we are!
Hurray for it all. Rich, poor, successful, fat, mother, childless, jobless, it does not matter...the only reason to be alive is to remember the truth of who we are. Spirit in nature and live that.
To live to learn. And wherever you are...I know it is a learning.
So lets celebrate each other and free one another from the traps of feminine torture chamber identites and judgments. Together we can free any limiting concepts we place on ourselves and each other.
Yea sister.

Times they have changed.

We have choice,
But we still live within the torture chamber of societal pressure and judgement. As well as our own desire to please, out do fit in and lord knows what else.

The pain around this age is very real and very demanding on the hearts and souls of many women.

Finding our way through.

Alleviating the desperation

Finding the inner joy

Seeing beyond

Health and healing of the mind and the body

My sense is as long as we are trapped by this perception of age-
Beauty
We are trapping a piece of life force into a box that is meant for one size fits all in a world of mulit-shapped bods.

It is up to us to heal
To free our thoughts
Our actions’
Our behaviors
To accept
To love
To open to personal loving
And let go of the pressure to be to become something we are not.

Steps to rejuvenate and begin to heal the body from the inside out

Start with your nutrition

8 steps written out below~

The below eight step program takes you through a full mental and spiritual body cleanse. It clears the digestion and cleanses the body of any metals or toxins.

Eight Steps to high vibe health:

1. Divine Consciousness into your life and your eating
Eating great is not enough, meditation is not enough, exercise is not enough, it is all of these things that produce extreme health and wellness and a lifetime of anti-aging and a world without illness. How are your thoughts, words, actions lining up? Are your spiritual principles being active in all you do each day?

2. Re-boot your biological integrity
Kicking all anti-nutrients or non-nutrients out of your eating style completely. Lets start with alcohol, drugs, tobacco, caffeine, sugars, white carbohydrates, processed foods, non-organic meat. Then we will look at things like mag sterite, synthetic vitimins expecially bitamin B-12, absorbic dioxide.
“Synthetic supplements are not simply undesirable because they supply inferior nutrition that the body then uses inefficiently. Prolonged use or misuse of vitamins and mineral supplements may actually hurt us more than help us” The Juicing Book Stephen Blauer

Mag-sterite Blows up t-cells clocks nutrient uptake makes no difference what you put into your body because it blocks it. It accumulates at cellular level it builds up. But when you stop taking mag sterite you then become receptive to nutrients and this happens quickly.

3. Optimize biological integrity
Human compatible Vit B-12
Human Compatible Vit C- radiant C
Human compatible Vit E tototrynal
Human compatible MSM
These are the building blocks for your home. They are the blue prints and the beams for great health in the body. The are the foundation with which all the other nutrients can be built on.

4. Hydration and Ph balance

This is based on the quanity and the quality of the water and the salt you drink. WOW is this a whole story onto itself. With plastic bottles and water sources misleading the consumer on their bottles this can be more challenging than first glance. My suggestion here, is to do the best you can. Glass water bottles, spring water, highest possible filters. Do not drink tap.
The body is a salt water being. Our salt is so important because the salt is how the water absorbs into the skin. So many people are completely dehydrated simply because most salts available on the market are not absorbable by the human body, it is simply not compatible. Then we get processed salts in most of our foods because we crave salt that is missing from our bodies and the processed foods again do not assist us in the salt we need to hydrate the body. Also most salts are ground with nickel grinders which add toxins to the salt. Most salts are pressed and it is hard for the body to use this. If you eat high quality superfoods, buy your veggies from farmers markets you will get a higher level of alkalinity in the body. All disease grows from acid in the body in acidic environments. Food combining causes acidity. Adding greens to your diet in the form of blue green algaes for the brain and eye function, as well as green force like vita green from health force for the bones and joints are also great alkalinizing principles.
This is also the process of eating alkalinized foods and letting go of acidic based foods.

5. Raw food diet the easy way
Eating raw. There are so many studies on all the different diets out there. I am not going to push being a raw foodist entirely. But will say that definitely eating vegetables and fruits is the secret key to longevity and getting the start on the vitamins you need. Some people’s bodies do not respond well to entirely raw food. However, often this is because it is not done right. You have to add the blue green algaes, spirulina, cholorela for protein and watch out for raw food treats and desserts filled with nuts that have not been rinsed and are not raw. If you add raw foods and superfoods to any diet you will watch your health soar. I believe in intuitive guidance letting your body guide you. However, I do recommend experiencing a raw food for a few days so you can feel if it is something that is good for your body. Most raw foodists are extremely healthy and can conquer much illness with just diet. For example raw for 30 days takes 8 diabetics and within the first 5 days they are all off insulin just by eating raw foods. Most said that their doctors did not even discuss that changing their diet was an option. Experiencing the joy of veggies high in ormos is a pure joy. Feel it out for yourself. Know your body, know what works for you. At least add superfoods, juicing and raw to your diet on a daily basis. By utilizing chocolate bliss as a main staple you will find that your cravings go down and desire for raw veggies goes up. Fiesta mole is a wonderful way to zest up your evening meal. Most people go raw for extreme illness or to lose weight. How about for preventive medicine? Easy steps for raw: watch the amount of nuts. Be sure to get lots of green supplements in the form of blue green algae, spirulina, chlorela and green mixes. Increase the amount of Chocolate bliss and eat farmer’s markets organic veggies. Add sun fire salt and fiesta mole to your veggies for flavor and extra mineral source.

6. Optimize digestion
We all need help with digestion unless you are living on the Hawaian Islands and you are growing your own foods with high levels of minerals in the soils. Digestive enzymes between each meal.

7. Sleep
It is so important to be getting long, uninterruptive, restful sleep. This is the time the body rejuevenates itself and heals the tissues. Often times if you are not getting restful sleep it is because of an inbalance in the lymphatic system. Usually the lymphs are clogged, from adrenal exhaustion. You lymphatic system is trying to cleanse it self and releases adrenals while you are trying to sleep but the lymphs are clogged and not penetrating. You must allow yourself time to get restful sleep. 8 hours a night of uninterrupted sleep. If this is a problem for you and you need assistance in cleaning out your lymphatic. David Favor has an amazing product called Vitalize it clears out the lymphs. It breaks down the mucoid valve in the lymphatic system. It will help you catch up on deferred sleep. If you have had many nights of deferred sleep the first night you take it you might just pass out for up to 8-16 hours.

This allows the lymphatic system to flush and allows us to sleep. You will take the vitalize 2-3 hours before bed with an 8-10 oz of water this will allow you plenty of time to eliminate the liquids before you sleep. Deep sleep, if you wake up refreshed your lymphatic system is probably in great shape. If you are groggy you might want to do it again until you wake up refreshed. Do these until you finish the bottle; you can use it anytime you feel like sleep will be troublesome for you.

8. Clear out parasites, chemicals, and metals
This is a process to eliminate parasites and chemicals and metals in the body. It is the last step because you need your digestion working well before you begin this elimination otherwise it will go right back into the blood. First you will start by clearing out the nano-bacteria-calcium fosfate bio film in the body. This is the substance that most disease including cancer attaches to. Then you begin the process of dialation so the fluid is flowing, clean out the pipes. For this you will eat things that are warm like tomatoes, camu camu, cayenee pepper. Then you will increase the seaweeds including dulse and other sea veggies. You will then begin the Alsidan and Aluropean which is garlic and olive leaf. Do this for a few weeks. Protese breaks down the membranes and breaks down the structures. Add pure radiance C, then you will begin Chem free and Metal free. If you have any mercury in the teeth or blood you can use this on a regular basis to clean the blood. Use the last three together. Again this is the last step after the lymphatic system and the digestion are working properly. You will be liberating chemicals and metals and you want them out of the body

How your thoughts effect water

Laurie-

My story:
although more is contained in the book I wrote- as pertains to our connection:
I disliked my body and felt it betrayed me immediately as I was born with a stomach ache that never seemed to leave. I had colic that lasted 18 months. Food never seemed to digest and I never could "stomach" life. My stomach was incredibly sensitive to food and the emotional environment around me and became my Achilles heel, and my body image the manifestation of how I ate and what I ate. I developed bad eating habits and eventually becasue of low thyroid, turned to speed in college. Didn't know I was trying to bring myself "up to speed" in a sense, and normalize but also developed eating issues and further body issues. Didn't like anyone to touch my stomach and was ashamed of it. Late turned to body building and was happiest when it was hard as a rock and I lost weight and was disappearing. Became fitness trainer, eventually made peace, worked 30 years in film, relied on my physical strength, many changes came, and now I am a wellness consultant, helping people to find practical and personal definitions that help them manage and regain control of daily life and live in balance. I continue to study energy medicine and work with healers. My calling and passion are expressed through being the "way- shower".

Understanding the bod!

Understanding Your Body

Are you trying to understand your body?

Why does it hold onto body fat? Or crave foods that are “bad” for us? Why does our body lead us astray? How can we all- meaning mind, stomach, butt, cellulite…play for the same team?

Last night I ate bread, sounds innocent enough- it was so yummy and hot and had garlic butter on it. Because I am primarily eating raw food, this had an interesting effect on me. I felt immediately queasy and desirous of more bread at the same time. I had a stomach ache and felt like the only thing that would make it go away is if I ate MORE BREAD! Ugh! I know that didn’t feel right but what was going on?

Cravings often times indicate an allergy. Now that is counter-intuitive. You crave the thing that your body is allergic to. Allergies often times lead to addictive behaviors, binge eating etc. So for those of us that are the most sensitive we can sometimes be the first to fall into addiction the most easily.

The reason for this is not clear, but it is good information to have. Sometimes the mind is a good thing to use to explain to the body that clear conscious choice is a better decision than urge and gratification.

It has been suggested that this may be because some protein fragments formed when food is broken down are similar to endorphins, which the body produces naturally to counteract pain and produce euphoria. Then the allergy sufferer’s body becomes adapted to that level of endorphin activity and so craves the allergen in order to maintain the endorphin levels that the body produces to ward of the allergic reactions.

Often times if you eat something and still feel hungry, or you crave certain foods always wanting more never feeling satisfied or if you wake up with a food ‘hang-over’ it is quite possible that you are suffering from allergies. Healing these allergies through specialists or acupuncture or researching which foods you are allergic too you can make miraculous changes in your well-being and weight loss.

But more importantly how would you like your body to line up with what it really needs. You crave avocados and olives because you need more amino acid, you crave oranges because your body is deficient in Vitamin C. With a little fine tuning, listening, making smart choices, we can use are bodies as they were meant to be masterful instruments here to enjoy beaming health and frolic in our fancy bods!

Bravo!

Personal Empowerment/ Women and our Body Image Issues

I have just begun a search for women who have suffered from a list of:
-eating disorders
-binge eating
-overeating
-body image issues
-obsession with food or exercise

And wow did I have a huge response!

Why is this such a prevailing issue in our culture? If you think about it, it is really insane. Imagine a tree comparing its trunk as being larger or fatter or wider than another tree? Our body is a part of nature and is beautiful and perfect as it is, and yet, even as obvious as this appears we still suffer some of us for a lifetime with this issue.

I myself struggled for many years with all of the above listed issues plus some and now feel compelled to find answers to this pain, shame, and self abuse that is pervasive in our culture.

I would love to hear from you!

What is your story and how have you found personal empowerment or are still striving for it...because that is the light at the end of this dark tunnel.

We are all perfect and special as we are and our vehicles are really divine gifts and miraculous for all they can acheive and yet until we drop the outer superficiality we will never be able to know or appreciate the gift of our bodies.
